What is DulcoSoft Oral Solution?

It is a product that helps evacuate hard stools.

Its active ingredient is Macrogol 4000. It has a great water retention capacity and acts as a liquid carrier (water).

How does DulcoSoft Oral Solution work?

Macrogol transports water directly to the colon, where it softens hard stools and contributes to stool bulk.

This helps with intestinal transit and facilitates defecation.

Macrogol 4000 responds to a purely physical mode of action; it is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.

How to take DulcoSoft Oral Solution?

Always take Dulcosoft Oral Solution exactly as indicated in the package leaflet.

It has a neutral taste and can be mixed directly into a beverage of your choice, e.g. a glass of water or other liquid such as fruit juice or tea (approximately 150 ml).

• Adults and children 8 years and older : 20-40 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 10-20 g of Macrogol 4000), preferably as a single dose in the morning. Use in children under 8 years of age should preferably be supervised by a doctor.
• Children 4 to 7 years : 16 to 32 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 8-16 g of Macrogol 4000), preferably as a single dose in the morning. For use in children under 8 years, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
• Children 2 to 3 years : 8 to 16 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 4 to 8 g of Macrogol 4000), preferably as a single dose in the morning. For use in children under 8 years, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

The dose is measured using a dosing cup included in the package and can be adjusted depending on the effect obtained.

Within the recommended dosage, the dose can be adjusted according to individual needs and taken daily or on separate days. The correct dose is the lowest dose needed to achieve regular soft stools.
