How to use Trofolastín Scar Reducer dressings?
- Wash your hands before using the dressing. Carefully clean and dry the scar area, checking that the skin is completely dry and without traces of cream, ointment or oil to facilitate the application of the Tofolastín Scar Reducer dressing.
- Open the envelope and gently separate the protective layers . Place the dressing over the scar evenly, making sure that no folds form and that all edges are fixed to the skin. If the dressing needs to be trimmed to size before placement, the protective layer should not be separated before cutting and ensure that it is of sufficient size to adhere to the healthy skin surrounding the scar.
- Once placed, the Trofolastín Scar Reducing dressing can remain fixed on the skin surface for up to seven days depending on the type of scar. The Dressing is water resistant if it is applied without creases and all edges are fixed to the surrounding healthy skin. The dressing is for single use only . If the dressing begins to peel off, replace it with a new Scar Redcutor Trofolastín dressing.
- To remove the dressing , gently lift one corner and pull very carefully, lifting the edges of the dressing until it separates from the skin.
