Zotal Lifronil Pipetas is a veterinary antiparasitic treatment specifically designed for cats. Each blister contains three 50 mg pipettes, providing an effective solution for eliminating flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) infestations and offering up to five weeks of persistent control. Although it does not produce an immediate acaricidal effect on ticks, proven persistent efficacy lasts up to two weeks against Ixodes ricinus and one week against Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.

Additionally, Lifronil can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), under veterinary guidance. It is important to consider contraindications, which include not applying it to cats under two months of age or those who are ill. It is recommended to administer the product in an area where the cat cannot lick it.

It offers persistent insecticidal efficacy of up to 5 weeks against fleas and limited persistent acaricidal activity against certain ticks (up to 2 weeks against Ixodes ricinus and 1 week against Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). Lifronil can be integrated into flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) control strategies when recommended by a veterinarian. Directions for Use Remove the pipette from the packet and hold it vertically; tap gently to ensure the contents are in the main body, remove the tip, and part the fur until the skin is visible; apply half of the contents at the base of the head and the other half 2–3 cm further back along the back, squeezing the pipette multiple times and ensuring the product is applied in an area where the cat cannot lick itself. Precautions Do not use in kittens younger than 2 months or weighing less than 1 kg, in sick or convalescent animals, or in rabbits; avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, do not apply on damaged skin, ensure animals do not lick each other after application, and treat the environment in cases of heavy infestations; in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients, do not use.
