Effipro Duo Spot On for Medium Dogs (10–20 kg) — box with 4 pipettes of 1.34 ml — is an external antiparasitic from Virbac that combines fipronil (134.0 mg per pipette) and pyriproxifen (40.2 mg per pipette) to eliminate fleas and ticks by contact and, additionally, inhibit the development of flea eggs and immature stages. A single treatment controls flea infestations for up to 7 weeks and prevents egg multiplication for 12 weeks; activity against ticks persists between 2 and 4 weeks depending on the species. Apply onto dry skin by placing the pipette in two spots (base of the neck and between the shoulder blades), keeping the pipette upright while opening and squeezing until emptied; for dogs over 20 kg, distribute in 3–4 sites.
Do not use in puppies under 10 weeks old or weighing less than 2 kg, nor in cats or rabbits; avoid use in sick animals or those with skin lesions. After application, avoid baths, swimming, or contact with rivers or streams for at least 48 hours, and do not handle the animal until the treated area is dry. Rarely, transient skin reactions such as skin discoloration, localized alopecia, pruritus, or erythema may occur, and exceptionally, reversible neurological signs; follow the precautions outlined in the leaflet and store the product in its original container, protected from light and below 25 °C.
