Levonorgestrel Aurovitas 1.5 mg is an emergency contraceptive tablet designed to reduce the chance of pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. It contains levonorgestrel 1.5 mg in a single oral dose that should be taken as soon as possible, and no later than 72 hours, after the incident.
- Emergency hormonal contraception to lower the risk of pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or condom/pill failure.
- Uses the progestogen levonorgestrel, which mainly works by delaying or preventing ovulation and making fertilisation less likely.
- Single-tablet format that is easy to take and carry for unexpected situations.
