Levonorgestrel Stada 1.5 mg is an emergency contraceptive tablet designed to reduce the risk of pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. This single oral dose contains levonorgestrel, a synthetic progestogen widely used for emergency contraception.
- Single-dose emergency contraceptive to be taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse or failure of a regular method (such as condom breakage or missed pills).
- Contains 1.5 mg levonorgestrel, which works mainly by delaying or preventing ovulation and making fertilisation less likely if conception has not yet occurred.
- One tablet only, taken by mouth, intended for occasional urgent situations and not as a regular contraceptive method.
- Can be used at any time in the menstrual cycle, provided pregnancy has not already started; effectiveness is higher the earlier it is taken within 72 hours.
- Suitable for women of childbearing age, including adolescents, when used responsibly and with healthcare advice if you are unsure.
