Norlevo Difarmed Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg emergency contraceptive tablet

Norlevo Difarmed Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg emergency contraceptive tablet is a single-dose oral medicine designed to reduce the risk of pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. It contains levonorgestrel 1.5 mg, a progestogen widely used in emergency contraception.

• Emergency option to lower the risk of pregnancy when taken as soon as possible, and always within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
• Works mainly by delaying or inhibiting ovulation so that an egg is less likely to be released and fertilised.
• Single tablet format for one-off use, which can be easier to take correctly in a stressful situation.
• Intended for occasional emergencies only, not as a regular contraceptive method.
• Can be used by women of childbearing age, including adolescents from their first period onwards.
