Scalibor 48 cm is an antiparasitic collar for dogs that releases deltametrina (0.76 g per collar) and provides comprehensive protection: a repellent effect against phlebotomine sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for up to 12 months, a repellent effect against Culex mosquitoes for 6 months, prevention of tick infestations for 6 months, and flea infestations for 4 months. It is applied externally: 1 collar per animal, wipe with a damp cloth before placing to remove any protective dust, fit without tightness, leaving enough space for two fingers, and cut off the excess leaving 5 cm; protection begins one week after use.
Keep in mind the precautions: do not use on cats or puppies under 7 weeks old, avoid baths or swimming during the first days, and remove the collar before bathing due to its toxicity to fish and other aquatic organisms; wash hands after handling and keep out of reach of children. In rare cases, skin reactions or temporary symptoms may appear, which usually resolve after removing the collar; consult your veterinarian if you notice any abnormalities.
