The SFG solar eclipse glasses are a lightweight, folding solar viewer intended for direct observation of the Sun with the unaided eye. According to the technical documentation supplied by the distributor, the filter meets the requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015. The solar eclipse on 12 August 2026 will be partial throughout the UK, so the glasses must be worn whenever looking directly towards the Sun.

  • Filter for direct solar viewing meeting the requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015, according to the distributor’s technical documentation.
  • Intended for viewing the partial phases of a solar eclipse with the unaided eye.
  • Lightweight, folding cardboard design that is easy to carry and position in front of the eyes.
  • Pack contains 1 pair of solar eclipse glasses in an individual protective sleeve.
  • Can be worn over prescription spectacles, provided the filter panels completely cover both eyes.
  • Suitable for adults and children; children must remain under the continuous supervision of a responsible adult.

Inspect the glasses before every use and do not use them if the filter has scratches, holes, tears, deep creases, loose areas or any other damage. Put them on before turning towards the Sun and look away before removing them. Never use eclipse glasses with a camera, binoculars, telescope or any other optical instrument. These devices require a suitable solar filter fitted securely over the front of the optics. Always follow the safety instructions supplied with the product.
