Urano Uranotest Dermatophytes 4 Test Uranotest Dermatophytes 4 Tests is a veterinary diagnostic kit designed for the detection of skin mycoses caused by dermatophyte fungi (Microsporum, Trichophyton, and Epidermophyton). It includes four plates with a highly selective DTM culture medium that allows for a rapid color change and visualization of colonies after 2 days of incubation at 28ºC, enabling quick diagnosis in veterinary clinics and animal care centers. The system uses 5 cm diameter plates that simplify inoculation compared to traditional tubes, and an adhesive strip for collecting hair and skin scales that improves microscopic observation and helps minimize false positives. The kit also incorporates a contrast medium to facilitate the identification of colonies under the microscope and is intended for use in dogs and cats. Usage Instructions Collect the hair or skin scale sample with the adhesive strip, inoculate it onto the DTM plate following the manufacturer's instructions, incubate at 28ºC, and observe the color change and the appearance of colonies after 2 days; the total preparation time is approximately 1 minute.
