Virbac Effipro Spray 100 ml Effipro Spray 100 ml is an external solution for topical spray formulated for dogs and cats, with the active ingredient fipronil at 2.5 mg/ml. It is indicated for the treatment of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), and lice, and can be integrated into the control strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). It provides protection against new flea infestations for up to 3 months in dogs and up to 6 weeks in cats, with persistent acaricidal efficacy against ticks for up to 4 weeks depending on the environment. Effipro Spray comes in a 100 ml spray bottle and is applied directly to the coat, ensuring the product reaches the skin; it is also useful for the symptomatic treatment of flea bite dermatitis. After application, allow it to dry naturally and avoid bathing with shampoo 48 hours before and after treatment. Directions for Use Apply only topically by moistening the fur until the skin; administer between 3 and 6 ml per kg of body weight (approximately 6-12 sprays/kg in a 100 ml bottle), adjusting according to the length of the coat. Spray over the entire body from a distance of 10-20 cm, making sure the product penetrates the fur to reach the skin. Precautions Do not exceed the recommended dose; avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and do not apply on damaged skin; do not administer to sick or convalescent animals or rabbits; use gloves, ventilate the area during application, and keep away from flames or heat sources until dry; store below 25°C and protect from direct light; if in doubt or in case of adverse reactions, consult a veterinarian.
