Its action begins within minutes and reaches up to 100% effectiveness within the first 24 hours, providing a practical and effective solution for the control of acute flea infestations. This 6-tablet format facilitates administration, which can be done with or without food, and allows hiding the pill in a small amount of food to improve palatability. Capstar is safe for pregnant and lactating dogs and has no known interactions with other veterinary medications, making it useful as a one-time treatment when an infestation is detected. Usage Instructions Administer one Capstar 57 mg tablet to dogs weighing between 11.1 kg and 57.0 kg; for dogs over 57.0 kg, administer two tablets. The treatment frequency will depend on the degree of infestation; in severe cases, daily or alternate-day treatments may be necessary until the infestation is controlled. Do not administer more than one dose per day. It can be given with or without food, and to prevent re-infestation, combine with treatments that control flea immature stages.
